My experience of writing has been that once I start the process, with an initial idea, more ideas arise. I never thought that I had a good imagination so it has been such a pleasant surprise to experience ideas arising! I am using Trello boards to jot down all the different thoughts and ideas and then I can move them around and add more detail.
This was fascinating, thank you both!!! I am in the process of turning my picture book into a middle grade novel following a critique from a kid lit agency. A whole new world of challenges and learning! I have no idea what I’m doing LOL. But I’m having a go :)

I never intended to have a podcast, and I have no plans to do it regularly, but it was a wonderful opportunity to interview Rose, I had questions, and now I’m applying the answers in my own practice!
Congratulations Rose, I think it is really special that you have been able to publish a full colour chapter book, I think this is quite unusual. The book looks beautiful.
