I had something else planned for today, but as I was scrolling substack notes I came across a prompt by
that I think we all could use!So I asked Dave if I could share it here. He said yes, THANKS DAVE!
I hope you’ll do it if you can and share your experience and photos in the chat. Importantly, don’t do it for the performance, do it for the experience, do it for yourself!
Touch grass does not mean go outside.
It means take off your shoes and stand in it.
It’s therapeutic and can help you move back to center if you’re feeling misaligned.
I did it this morning while eating a bowl of oatmeal and it made my day better in just 10 minutes.

Last night my 4 year old woke up at 12.30, couldn’t sleep, so together with my wife we drew, danced, sang and went on a detective case, it was the absolute best!
TEN MINUTE ARTIST PROMPT
Stand on grass, for 10 minutes.
Bring a book, a bowl of oatmeal, or a sketchbook. (Tell us how it went)
If you know someone who could use some daily inspiration and encouragement, invite them to join us!
I walked on grass, took a look around, the weather was nice, and it was nice to be outside and notice things, washed my feet and came back in, I’m looking forward to doing it again tomorrow!
This is undeniably soothing, and there's a reason for it. It's also called "earthing" and it lets all the electicity stored in your body from devices and other things drain into the earth. Not the electricity your body generates itself, but alien electricity. I would so love to do it every day, but it's still barely above freezing here and there's snow on the ground, and it wouldn't be pleasant at all.
