I Blame
!1This started out as such a simple platform and I started a simple newsletter on it. Then they kept adding more features, so naturally I had to try them all. But it’s all gotten a little unwieldy.
And I need to roll it back in.
I think of my favourite newsletters
Like
’s and ’s substacks they have a simple format and cadence and they just go with that.I think of Tim Ferriss 5 bullet Friday
And James Clear’s 3-2-1
Again, simple.
I want to make this simple.
These are what people have said about Ten Minute Artist:
“If you are looking for daily prompts to keep drawing, you couldn’t ask for a kinder, funner host!“
Wendy MacNaughton, DrawTogether with WendyMac
“Adam gives thoughtful advice and support for every stage of your illustration journey!”
Beth Spencer, Introvert Drawing Club
“Adam is unrelenting in his quest for creative success! His tips and techniques for consistent growth are top notch. ”
Jacob Souva, Drawing a Blank
I think these 3 quotes capture the heart of this newsletter, and I want to keep that. What I need to change is the format.
So here’s what I’ve decided.
I’ll write Daily Ten Minute Artist Prompts.
Free Subscribers will get most of them
Paid Subscribers will get all of them
Everything else will fold in to these daily emails. If daily emails are too much for you I’ll understand if you unsubscribe:)
On a serious note, I LOVE SUBSTACK and all it enables, but here’s a tip, you DON”T have to use all the features.
Good plan and good advice! KISS method (wink)
