Drawing is important!

Jumping into Tom Froese’s latest class.

I’m going to be taking this class. Knowing Tom, I expect that he will have a unique and nuanced approach to maintaining a daily sketchbook habit. There’s something really powerful about the things we do every day.

As we find ourselves dropped suddenly into Drawtober, perhaps the sage guidance that Mr. Tom Froese provides will help us navigate this drawing heavy month.

Polish

A little update.

I’ve submitted the ‘final’ spreads for two separate books to their respective publishers. One of them has come back with some revisions that I’ll be working through for the next couple of weeks, alongside things like endpapers, case art, jacket designs.

It’s a new phase.

Now that the publishing teams have seen all the artwork, it’s the most collaborative part, lots of back and forwards. In the earlier stage, I’m working off my own checklists, now I’m working off the team’s checklist.

I’ll be honest, I did not foresee all this extra work at the end. Do keep that in mind!

I’m really excited about working through this stage, polishing the books that will go into your hands!
