Super cool, Im listening to Murakami's book in audiobook form while commuting to work right now. He's also my favorite author and listening to WITAWITAR gets me inspired, just listening to how he and what he thinks about life.
“The last of a generation able to sit with books” (apologies if that’s not your exact quote). An arrow straight to the heart for the truth of it! I see that in my grandsons who are slowly leaving books behind for the siren call of “screen time”. A rather slippery slope of several decades, really.
The Reading Room you describe seems an apt and important counterpoint. We all need to check in with our own “interiors” - so that seed thoughts that came from other blooms can find a little room, and time, to germinate. Thanks for that.

I have Jessica Smith's '15 Minute Art - Drawing' book at home. Last year, I took it with me on holiday and drew one page every day. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Since then, I have purchased a few other books that are similar.
