Fusion Restaurant vs Sushi Bar

From “What’s going on”, to “I get it”

You need to get people from “what’s going on?”

To “I get it.”

And it takes time to get people to ‘get something’ and consistency to get people to not forget it.

Some things I’ve noticed:

Fusion Restaurants

I’ve noticed that on average, Fusion restaurants are always empty but Sushi restaurants are always full. I think this is because no one know what you’re going to get in a fusion restaurant and everyone knows what you’re going to get in a Sushi Restaurant/

Popular artist’s instagram feeds

I’ve noticed that popular instagram feeds tend to all start out the same. A night out. A dog walk. A holiday. A piece of art. It’s random, but at some point a cohesion starts to from, it becomes predictably one thing. Then people get it. Then it becomes popular.

People like to get it.

Think about what this could mean for your creative practice.

For me it means:

1. Sending this mail out at the same time daily.

2. Sticking to the format (Short daily notes, and a longer note on Mondays)

3. Building routines that are sustainable in the long run. (E.g 7 minute workout, bujo vs morning pages and timeblock planner)

4. It also means practicing consistently.
