I’m not sure if that’s a question or an exclamation :) But if it is a question, the idea is to make it an icon of the thing, like a cartoon or caricature, to exaggerate while keeping it recognisable. To take it seriously, but also not too seriously… the goal is to make it recognisable rather than realistic. Hyper recognisable. I think it’s a way of looking at life, and a way of communicating. I’m not setting out to draw a brick wall, I’m setting out to communicate a brick wall.
How do you manage to make even a brick wall interesting? I cant wait to see how the portfolio piece evolves
