I would venture to guess that one of the things that has made you so successful with your clients is that you don’t betray OR meet their expectations... you exceed them!

I don’t know about that, I really try to set an expectation and meet them. It seems that’s what is desired in this industry.

If there is an area I exceed expectations it’s not in the artwork, but the working with.

Artist have such a bad rap, as being difficult to work with, I try to break away from that stereotype.

But for the art it’s about nailing it, according to an expectation

Three terrific quotes! I especially like the first one and how you altered it. In its new incarnation, I read it as: people see you in the present moment, expect you to be that, and to grow, you have to betray those expectations. And that be hard! It's new! It's not what they were expecting of you. But it's essential to growing. Thanks for so much to think about.

Yes I love this! Honestly I think this was one of the big shifts for me when I had kids. All my previous identity had revolved around my job and what I was achieving. That stopped being true. And although I’m a mum, that is just an aspect of me.

I do so many different things!

For my regular job, the title on my business card reads, “Maker of Fun Things” and now I’m wondering why I put Author/Illustrator on all of the cards I brought to Bologna. Well, next time I order more, I’m keeping my title the same across everything I do. Thanks for the inspiration!

I agree with Stephen, I wrote an article about labels, the ones we want and that ones we don’t. And how I am a glorious mess of contradicting ones 😄

GOOD STUFF! "Do you have a “this”, a dream or ambition that you need to ask this question about? Is there a thing you want to do but can’t find the motivation, maybe this question will help."
