I already set some stiff goals for the year and am already not as far along as I want to be toward them. But I'll set another for 90 days: get 10 paid subscribers.
My goal is to create 4/5 new pieces work to put in my portfolio and give a little revamp to my website. I'm sick of seeing such old work on the first page. haha
This is a great post and it has been super helpful for me. I read it on the day you posted it and then let it simmer in my head until today when I finally put pen to paper. Seeing all my thoughts on paper makes me feel productive already. My first goal is to find a mentor/accountability partner!
I'm looking for an illustration agency (rather than lit) as I'm interested in all sorts, editorial, publications, packaging etc. and currently I have a list of agencies that have come up on my radar and I'm hoping to submit to at least a few of them over the next 90 days. (I have submitted to one last week)
Obstacles would probably be: - need more work in my portfolio which I'm adding to throughout the time, and that - those agencies aren't interested in my style or too busy to accept submission. I'm trying to stay authentic so my visual language isn't something I want to change to fit someone else too much (suggestions or critique aside of course) unless this happens over time naturally.

Congratulations, Adam!!! 🎊
I didn't actually get this in my email inbox to reply to but my goal is to get an agent 😁😁
Fair enough,
What kind of agent are you looking for?
How are you currently going about it?
What obstacles might you face, and do you already have an idea how to overcome them?
PS; Do you have a public portfolio?
