I sketch daily because I enjoy the creative habit and accountability, strive to keep getting better, explore ideas and different tools, appreciate the meditative benefits of entering the flow state, and because I love to draw.
Thank you for such a well-planned continuum of projects! Thoughtful for those of us who are free and even more fun and feedback for the paid folks! You inspire! I will try.
You've inspired me to make my drawing habit match my writing habit. It's much easier for me to write everyday than it is for me to draw everyday. But I found a quote the other day that said "Make art in the busy margins of your life". And then I found your Substack! I love your idea that you only need 10 minutes a day to draw. I also drink coffee in the morning and write in my journal, my laptop, or any other surface takes my fancy. Perhaps drawing should have that special place in my day too! I'll let you know how it goes!
Very good reasons that motivates me to start my sketchbook in February. I always wanted to continue my “artistic” studies. This can be a good simple reason for starting up.
I just picked up some toy cars earlier and thought of you!
VROOM VROOM VROOM to creative habits in 2024! 🏎️💨 Thanks so much for the shoutout!
That makes me want to do the same, for research of course!
I’m going to start today! Looking forward to following along your prompts and guides

Thanks for this Adam, I know I have my own daily practice but yours is great and so perfect for anyone wanting to make Art a daily!
Your guidance is so helpful. I love the ideas of doing practice arts everyday to form a good habit.
