Great post! I create art for myself, not for others, but in terms of my writing I have lots of notebook dungeons of locked-away words that will never be seeing the light of day! They have such value for reference purposes that they've got their own place in my archive alongside the better stuff....

Making bad art and shitty first drafts. That’s how I roll.

Well, these days most of my works are not for show as I’m navigating through busy toddlers days! 😅 and all the ideas are just at sketch levels in my pocket sketchbook. So many unfinished sketch ideas vs. finished illustration!? What are your thoughts on closing this gap!?

Good Morning 🌅

It’s really different for everyone. But for me the first step was making consistent time each day to do some work, and the only way to get that time was to get up a little earlier. Over time, the duration of those sessions increased and the quality of work that I did in them, even now that time slot is where I get most of my work done. So step one was making time. PS, busy toddler days are the best.
