I just published my first newsletter and committed to sending out 10. As you wrote: we don't know what's at the end and I'm really curious to find out. For me this feels really big and I am also a bit scared of being vulnerable.
Thanks for sharing your journey on closing the gap! It's inspiring to me.
I started a newsletter years ago and put everything I knew into it and then some. That newsletter led to hundreds a month for 4 years and helped to support my family.
I really enjoy reading your newsletter (I’m so glad you continue to write it)! Hanging out with Andy J Pizza sounds like a lot of fun - Creative Pep Talk is one of my favorite podcasts. I was wondering where I can find out more info about Brendon Oscars ‘small’ project? Drawing in a calendar a day sounds like an intriguing idea...
Thanks for always providing such interesting content!
I loved this post! In the past I've struggled with the idea of a niche because it felt like closing so many avenues I wanted to explore. But in the past few months I've doubled down on my "thing" (I make poetry comics) and I've seen a lot more growth in my work and in my ability to connect with my audience.
Hi Jason, Glad you like it, I’m also niching down the newsletter to talk about ‘closing the gap’ between our taste and our ability! Did you see that Grant Snider has declared this poetry comics month, check out his instagram, I think he said he’ll share some poetry comics on his profile. (You’ve probably seen that…) Thanks for Reading!
This is inspiring read. I like the idea of daily Calendar Doodle! Andy J Pizza is an amazing guy and the podcast is awesome 👏🏽 a day before yesterday I just signed up for writing side of substack & now I’m doing some work on what to write 🤣 I’m more of a visual person so writing is doubting my skills for sure! However you inspired me and choosing + committing on what you choose is very important message you pointed out here...I am sure you had a lot of fun being with Andy and his Patreons!! 🥳 keep sharing and inspiring all of us! 💥
Love this post Adam! I’m going to process this idea a bit and find out what I’m means for me in the new year!
💪 you’re doing great, enjoying watching you carve out your own path!
