I do! I'm a children's book author-illustrator who recently started a substack newsletter called AT THE KIDS TABLE. It's a weekly creative feast that includes book bites (book recs), creative nuggets (thoughts on writing and illustrating), and brownie points (fun activities and illustration stuff).
Love your newsletter, Adam! And thanks for the opportunity to share.
Ah thank you! I hope you enjoy it! Keeping it loose and fun so I get into the habit. I told myself if I made it to 3 recordings, I’ll invest in a better mic. 👍
Oh my goodness! Thank you! It certainly doesn't. I'm actually working on a piece talking about how artists are sort of like the canaries in the coal mine in regards to intense political climates. Keep your eyes peeled. ;)
I do - I opened to read your newsletters! But you have inspired me to maybe do one myself... maybe not daily like yourself but weekly. Read your last marketing post and made me think - maybe it could be another way to get noticed by clients and make other illustrate friends! Do you think it's successful? Worth a go?
I already answered that in the subtitle :) , the ‘key’ to making it succeed is to make the thing about your readers, not yourself. There is a great creative Peptalk post in this. Good luck, and come back to this post if you have any questions and to share your success:)
This is fabulous, can't wait to check out all these newsletters! Thanks for starting this! Also, I do! I have a weekly newsletter that is playful news from my studio. Basically some fun drawing prompts and things that inspire me.

Rachel, I’ve been reading ‘At the kids table’ and loving it! And thank you for reading :)
I do! A fellow illustrator! Planning to post weekly. 👍 I found yours through your IG posts.
I’ll looking forward to listening to your podcast while I work tomorrow

Ooh! I have one! I've loved getting back into writing, especially about what I love: Art, history, politics, and Internet nonsense.
Also, I've really enjoyed your newsletter, Adam!
I love that how you proudly talk about politics, a topic often considered taboo and off putting... but art doesn’t exist in a vacuum does it :)

Working in publishing, like entertainment seems to require careful navigation of the political landscape. Eyes peeled!

I do! It's about our journeys of wellness and illness, and discoveries along the way. Thanks for setting up this thread, Adam!
I enjoy your newsletter and notice we have the same taste in books :)
Thanks, Adam! I would love to hear about any books you are reading any time! :)

Ps: for a week’s worth of essay prompts, this is great: https://summerbrennan.substack.com/p/essay-camp-starts-monday-06f?r=p60pf&utm_medium=ios
