I have an Artist Friend from high school.
Back then it felt like we were the only two people who understood each other. We would discuss how Jim Lee would draw eyes on X-Men. Or what it really meant to have style.
We went to artschool together and stayed in touch with emails. When I lived out of town I would bunk in his house when I was in town. He would tell me his artistic ambitions and I would tell him mine. And we celebrated each others wins.
Every artist needs an artist friend. A single person is enough to form an accountability group. But thanks to the internet you might even find a small group that you can band together with and go through your unique creative challenges together.
