Drawing from life and creating lively characters.
I drew my hands.
Each one is doing a slightly different thing, but there is a common thread. Can you guess what they are doing in each drawing?
These were observational drawings.
Other’s might call them ‘research’.
I call the process ‘gathering’. I’m gathering visual information that I might use in a more stylised illustration. It’s easier to simplify through iteration than in one fell swoop.
When drawing it’s always hard to figure out what to do with the hands. here’s the secret..
