Hey thanks for reading this stuff.
Yesterday I shared what was on my mind, and it wasn’t much. I was wondering if there was chocolate in the fridge. That’s it. That is what was on my mind.
I thought of checking too. But I didn’t.
And that’s how we live our lives sometimes. In our heads thinking about random inconsequential stuff. A random inconsequential focus gets a random inconsequential result.
What are you focused on? Are there things that you focus on that don’t serve you?
If you could focus on something, what would you focus on?
For over a year I asked myself one question? (Questions are a great way to focus your mind, or the minds of others)
I asked myself, what do I need to do to get one new paid subscriber a day? I focused on the questions. To date, I’ve gotten 31 new paid subscribers in 30 days. How? By using a question to focus my mind. You get what you focus on.
Is there something you’re focused on that you could live without? If you could give that up, you would have the time you said you wanted.
With that time, what is something you would focus on?
And yes there is chocolate in the fridge, but I don’t want it.
TEN MINUTE ARTIST PROMPT
We’re drawing inspiration from ‘The Hobbit’, and have been doing so for 20 days out of a planned 26, today’s prompt is…
Y - Yore: "Long ago in my grandfather Thrór's time our family was driven out of the far North."
Two more days to go! We’re almost there, and such amazing work in the gallery!
On Sunday, I’ll be sharing YOUR drawing of the prompts for this week.
⭐️ In addition to sharing your work in the gallery, use the chat to talk about your projects, or your Substack and I’ll include that in the Sunday Share post, along with some of your work. If you haven’t done any of the prompts, maybe just do one, I could include that in the Sunday share too, it will go out to 8000 people. (Here’s a list of ALL the prompts)
Share your work but also say something about it and about yourself!
PS: Last month we discussed Financial Sovereignty as a creative person, in our monthly Creative Sprint, if you missed it, it’s all here.
We talked about your money stories, streams of income, seasons of income and how to make them all work for you, also I challenged you to think if being a full-time illustrator is in-fact a worthwhile goal.
