Ten Minute Artist Weekly Rounds up the week’s daily prompts along with a few interesting finds of the week. It’s perfect catching up on any prompts you missed or if you prefer an hour of art making on the weekend rather than 10 minutes a day. You choose to receive daily and/or weekly editions her.
This Week’s Assignments
MONDAY: I started the with thinking of Portfolio Work as a verb. The things we do to demonstrate and communicate our value to potential clients. This lead me to create a reel later in the week.
TUESDAY: We explored ‘Copywork’, drawing as a for of study. In doing so I found it to be surprisingly relaxing.
WEDNESDAY: was a reminder to go back into your artist diary and journals to see what’s there, and to just ruin with an idea when it strikes
THURSDAY: We made a list of creative things we can do outside a sketchbook.
FRIDAY: We talk about the relationship of the dimensions of the drawing surface and the drawing itself
If you try any of the prompts, you can share them here in the chat galley.
⚠️ You’re Reading the Weekly Edition. If you want to receive the Daily Editions you can toggle them on here.

This week I was thinking a lot about how what we create even the tiniest notes or sketches are assets if we can find ways to reuse them or build on top of them. If something is not directly useable it might still be a useful stepping stone to the next idea.
