A is for Arkenstone (which is the prompt for today) And if you missed any of the prompts and want to catch up, here they all are!
And you can share your work in the gallery anytime!
Before we begin a new series I thought it be good to review WHY we have this habit of drawing everyday. I’m going to send that as it’s own email. Look out for it!
Here’s a request, in the comments can you share your reasons, what reasons can you think of for doing this practice, what do you do it, or why would you do it, what outcome would you have to be sure of that will make you do it?
I have a gift for you if you’re a free subscriber…
If you remember, midway within the Hobbit Prompts we stopped for a 5-Day Creative Sprint where we discussed and workshopped topics around our relationship with money. Now the Creative Sprints, are only available for Paid Subcribers
BUT
I wanted to unlock Day 1/5 from that premium series and make it available to you.
Firstly to give you a taste of what it’s like so you can consider signing up to get the whole thing. But ALSO because Day 1 itself will already give you a huge benefit and mindset shift around your relationship with money
Here it is:
Enjoy!
Why, indeed? Initially it was to get some discipline in, to carve out that tiny space of time where I would just have fun with art. But I found things changed as I continued: on a given piece, I wanted to spend more than 10 minutes; I began to experiment more with materials and subjects; and I can see improvements. I'm getting a bit faster at execution, though I still want to spend time thinking out an approach. Sometimes that alone uses up the 10 minutes. But I still go ahead and draw for 10.
