The Guild of Childrens book illustrators.
Unearthing treasure and sharing it with everyone we meet on the journey…
Hey there! I’m sick, so I’m spending most of my day in bed. I did however have a draft ready to send out, so here it is!
PS: you can introduce yourself here:
it’s a great community!
And with that out of the way, here’s today’s post:
📝 Treaure from the critique group!
In 2021, I founded a little critic group out of the members of the illustrating children book course I was taking. The idea was to meet every two weeks for 10 weeks, to continue working on the class material, and give each other a sense of accountability.
Our meetings were very structured and focused on each member showing work and receiving and giving feedback. After the 10 weeks, we decided to continue meeting and eventually started calling ourselves the Guild of Children’s book illustrators.
Our sessions unearthed so many gems about making work and travelling on this path as a creative. It only made sense to document those gems and also share it.
If you’d like to take some of the gems we’ve unearthed as we travel together on this creative path, Here are 3 places you can get them!
