I saw a man cry on a podcast.
He was Sylvester Stallone’s trainer. It was because people don’t summon the drive to start down a path of health and fitness, and what it ultimately cost them. Pain, struggle, early death. You could see a man genuinely caring and feeling the pain that is caused by not starting.
That was in the context of exercise, but it was a clear picture of the inertia of in action.
It’s hard to start.
If you want to start drawing today, I want to walk you through it.
Get your best pencil and piece of paper, this might be a page from your sketchbook, or copy paper doesn’t matter.
Draw a square to contain your challenge.
Write the word start in the corner and draw a box around it.
In the space in the middle, draw a spark.
If you did that, you’ve started, congratulations!
Pat yourself on the back, and I’ll see you back here tomorrow.
