Overcoming resistance in 10 minutes or less

I’m on a 12 day Sketchbook Streak

Meaning for the past 12 days I’ve drawn in my sketchbook every day.

I’m not aiming to make a masterpiece in there, I’m just aiming to show up every day.

I take a photo and share it on the internet daily, this gives me a sense of accountability.

I use a calendar icon to start a permanent record of how I’m doing.

It takes 10 minutes or less to put something in a sketchbook. It’s building a muscle.

The same reasons that will stop you from spending 10 minutes a day putting something in a sketchbook, are the reasons that will stop you from painting a masterpiece or writing a novel, or whatever your dream is. If nothing else starting a sketchbook streak will train you to overcome those reasons.

Overcome that old foe of all creatives, resistance.
