It took 12 months from the time I got the idea of getting an agent, to actually getting an agent.

Interacted with hundreds of illustrators and watched them work.

Emailed 50 Agents.

Made 200 pieces of art.

Filled 20 Sketchbooks.

Did 3 portfolio reviews with industry veterans.

Studied the careers of 5 professional illustrators.

Spoke to 3 potential agents. Over a period of months.

Joined the SCWBI and Illustrators circle.

Started a peer review group that meets twice a month.

Gave away my PS4 to make time to do all of the above.
