I’ve started a project for myself.
It’s called Mundanity.
It’s a list I try to follow everyday.
Today is Day 5.
You can think of each item on the list as a 10 minute project, in reality, most take longer. It takes 2-4 hours to run through my mundanity project. But it’s giving me so much satisfaction, clarity and drive.
This is the list:
Clean (the toilet), It’s a great way to start the day, you can’t use your phone, it’s humbling and you use your whole body.
Sketch
Morning Pages
Write 5 X Posts (twitter)
Look at social media 15 minutes
Post Sketch
Reply to social 15 minutes
Exercise
I wake up excited to do my list everyday, because all of it feels like banking my energy for the future. It’s planting seed that I can harvest sometimes in the same day.
I call it mundanity, because they are not exciting activities in themselves. But paired with a vision of where I’m going I know each step propels me forward.
And it’s an unbelievable feeling to be propelled forward daily.
