Often I make reasoned steps.
A Kidlit postcard. A portfolio piece.
Sometimes I make unreasoned steps. Intuitive steps, with very little to go by.
‘I want to be more prolific’, is a thought that entered my head… and it quickly evolved into a thought of making a black and white image.
The image wanted some text. And the text made me decide to draw the spear.
Drawing this felt like drawing from memory. Like remembering a dream.
Drawing sometimes is not putting marks down, it is retrieving from the periphery.
Artist don’t have hard edges.
They can see beyond the field of vision.
They can recall things from before memory.
At least that’s what it feels like.
And the image that is created, the unconventional sentence … is the proof.
