Making a List, Checking it Twice: Introducing Weekly Editions
2024/2025 Topic List
A Note on What to Expect
The Weekly Editions are designed to provide a steady rhythm to your creative practice.
Each week focuses on a single topic that I somehow find related to the illustration practice, drawn from a list of 59 themes I’ve outlined. For every topic, I share seven key ideas—one for each day—offering a page-a-day guide to inspire and inform your work.
More on the topics below.

Topics for the Weekly Editions
The following list are topics that I find useful to the creative practice.
Most are straightforward like style and building a portfolio. Others might be a bit more far fetched like what parenting or running a startup has thought me. Makings books is a messy business, may aim is to surface the most important ideas related to each of these topics.
And it’s not just about making books, but the creative process in general.
This preamble is just so you know, when you see football listed as a topic, know that I’ll relate it back to the creative practice.
I wrote this list to give me a map for what to write every day/week and so I can build a bit of a buffer. And so you can decide if you want to come on this journey with me for a year.
You are getting a page-a-day guide and a travel buddy…
