I was up till 4 in the morning, I had an idea that couldn’t wait till morning to execute. It made me realize that the creative journey is filled with seasons of hunting and gathering. For the most part I’m an advocate for a boring routine. But there are seasons where you go all in on an idea when it’s hot.
A Season for hunting and a season for gathering
What season are you in right now ?
Are you working on some consistent routine, building up creative capital, filling sketchbooks, building pieces, keeping an artist diary. Or are you hunting, pursuing dome big idea or deadline relentlessly drawing from the resources you’ve already built up instead of storing up for later, depleting yourself to make something more ambitious than you’ve ever made.

You’re reading the Daily Edition of Ten Minute Artist, if you prefer getting Weekly Editions you can adjust your setting here.
TEN MINUTE ARTIST PROMPT
Hunt
Go over your sketchbook, journal or artist diary and read it with a red pencil in hand.
Circle the ideas that move you, the ones you were saving for later. It’s later. It’s time. Turn that idea into something, build on it. Or just collect a whole bunch of ideas on a page so you can see your best ideas/sketches/ at a glance.
Share it.

This is the thing I did, maybe it will get a million views, or maybe it will get two… https://www.instagram.com/reel/DfB0ukiO3he/?vrfl=MWhieThiYXc0cWpqaA==
