Note on the practice: Ten Minute Artist is about keeping an Artist Diary as a way to stay connected to our creativity in the present and through the years. To help you set up you diary I’ve created a FREE 5-day email course for you.

You can find Day 1, here.

Dear Artist Friend,

When Ben Frankiln’s bio came out, I got it, and read it during my lunch breaks.

Life stories looks so nice and neat in retrospect don’t they. Or maybe Mr. Franklin indeed lived an orderly life. Or one that he tried to take charge of.

I read that in a time when my days were so far out of my control, with endless meetings and projects all to do with the start up I was a part of. I was also newly married and my wife sound found herself in a start up too and so evenings were spent trading stories and problem solving.

I wonder if all the people of his day organised their days in such a manner.

I drew a sample of such a day.

Later when I was out of my startup, I made plans with her and we imagined our ideal day. And often we live it.

We also adjust the structure to suit everyone’s in the families needs. Being self employed lets you do that..
