Welcome to: How to draw anything: Part 5/5 , this day five of a 5 day project where I show you a collection of techniques that will have you drawing Anything.

This project is the Third of 3 projects of “Start a daily drawing habit: a Gameplan”, go here for the full table of contents.

So far, we’ve

  • Discovered characters

  • You know how to break them down and build them up using simple shapes

  • With mark making you can give them a tactile presence

  • You might even be able to fit them into a simple shape

  • And today you will practice posing a brickman, so that you will be able to draw your characters in believable dynamic poses.

In a week, you’re practically able to draw anything just using the skills we’ve learned.

This is the last post in this series and if you’ve done them all great job. Each of these 15 post aim to give you everything you need to start a daily drawing habit! Now it’s up to you to keep it going.

I’ve shared my journey from dreamer, to award winning illustrator, starting with this daily habit, but I’ve also witnessed many others go on this journey, filling hundreds of pages and finding their own success.

And success for some might mean a new career, while for others it might mean just the consistency of making something regularly that they can look back upon and treasure.

I hope you will find success!

And feel free to go through these assignments again whenever you like! I know I will!

Enjoy this last piece in the series!

Because today, I will show you how to draw better stickmen!
