Here’s a weekend challenge in three parts. I’ll label them by day, but you can do them any day you like of course. You don’t need to spend more than then minutes on it:)
Friday, Being Day 1
TEN MINUTE ARTIST PROMPT
Draw Icons for a Map
Divide a page up into at lease 8 sections. Draw Icons to interpret the words stick men qualify! Over at we have workshops on drawing icons and stickmen if you’re interested. (It’s paid)
We are using the concept of a map to help you draw visual metaphors and have them all exist together.
Everything changed for me when I started to think of my drawings as icons, visual containers of meaning!
Saturday, Being Day 2
TEN MINUTE ARTIST PROMPT
Draw a Map
Redraw your icons to fill the map, fill the spaces between too, make it full. This is a valuable instruction in drawing a scene, look what you’ve just done you’ve drawn a scene with your icons! After all a scene is nothing more than a kind of map. Over at
we have an Environment Workshop if you’re interested (also paid)
Sunday, Being Day 3

Find a way through
Make your drawing interactive change it up, create a path to your obstacles. Be creative, play! I want to give you more instructions but I know you WILL find a way, and I cannot wait to see it!
