The Longevity of a Creative Career

and were discussing amongst other things the longevity of a creative career, later I’m going to ask you to draw flowers, so that is one option for a reference. In the video Lilla talked about having a strong intentionality about being true to yourself and following wherever your interests leads you as a way to uncover more of yourself — as one of the secrets of a long creative career.
You might apply that to your choice or approach to drawing flowers.
An alternative to the video you could use this study as inspiration:

The more flowers you have in your repertoire the better! Flowers are a great way to fill a scene and also convey information about the place and the season.
TEN MINUTE ARTIST PROMPT
Draw some flowers
And do this again from time to time, learn their names and and a bit more about the flowers you draw, so you can use them as characters in your next work. When drawing flowers try interpret them as simple shapes, as a way of understanding them better,
I think I went beyond shapes, but I had fun! I haven’t drawn in decades. I drew orchids.
My work has been sadly deficient in plants, trees & flowers. I absolutely love observing & photographing them when I'm out for walks but have mostly shied away from drawing them. This past Nov/Dec I started occasionally sketching them as part of my 10 min-a-day practice, but then stopped. So looking forward to getting back to it.
