Hello Friends,
This week let’s draw 7 Birds, you can post them in the Gallery here:
ps: when captioning your gallery post, consider writing the caption like a nature documentary :)
You could draw any birds you like but if you are looking for some guidance, here’s a list to consider.
Kingfisher - Known for its vibrant colors and distinct shape.
Owl - Owls can be a great subject for exploring textures and facial details.
Flamingo - Their soft pink hues, make flamingos an interesting challenge for color gradients.
Peacock - Peacocks can help you explore detailed line work and symmetry. ( if you’re strapped for time draw the head and a single tail feather
Hummingbird - Their dynamic flying poses are excellent for studying motion
Peregrine Falcon - Perfect for capturing action poses and the texture of feathers at high speed
Swan - With their elegant necks and reflective water environments, swans can be used to practice reflections and graceful lines.
For an extra challenge, use a different material for each bird, or draw the whole series in a style that is not your normal style.
And here’s what some of you did with last week’s Shelfie Project, I loved getting to know you a little better through your shelves!

Thank you for the prompt. I have a sweet bird that greets me at 6 am on the deck of my porch. I was going to take a picture, but a sketch would be nicer. 🙂
