Poorly made pigeon nest
Is it just me or does this guy look like he’s concerned about us judging him!
& say something nice(and mean it) about each other’s :)So many of you have shared your bird drawings in the gallery, keep them coming!
Laughing at this picture is a little mean spirited I’ll admit.
Who knows what this pigeon had to go through to build its nest.
Maybe it’s a work in progress, like we all are. Maybe instead of laughing we can celebrate the milestones.
A publisher asked if I was available to illustrate a very prestigious title, and that was a reason to celebrate. I haven’t gotten the job and might not get it, but I celebrate being in the conversation.
On this illustration journey I think it’s always good to celebrate the little wins.
A publisher wants to see more, celebrate!

Sure celebrate the big stuff too, but look for those tiny moments to celebrate. Those steps are wins in themselves. Think of that as you draw this prompt!
Maybe the poor pigeon went into premature labour. Or maybe some pirate pigeon stole her nesting materials while she went to find food. It is a hilarious picture, but it begs a story.
Pigeons don't make good nests because they used to live in rocky hills and put their eggs on the rocks, before we brought them to cities 🥹
