Icons are the discrete units of illustrations.
Like words in a sentence.
It’s a great place to start an illustration or a sketchbook page. Drawing an icon is the equivalent of speaking clearly, or choosing the right word.
Illustration is less about technical ability and more about choosing and creating icons that convey the desired message. That is the hard skill. The drawing part is just like the skill of handwriting. The real art is in communicating.

Draw a Page of Icons
Pick a Topic
Fill a page with icons on that particular topic
Make them personal rather than rely on the iconography that you are used to. Reuse this prompt by choosing different topics.
