I made this picture in a series of pictures about rediscovering the joy of making art.

I guess it represents the first signs of that joy escaping and art loosing its lightness. It’s like you feel like you’re walking on water for a second then you start sinking. That natural creative high doesn’t last.

What do we do after the high?

Do we look for another high?

Do we try to regain the high?

Or do we start playing with this new reality.

There is a lightness when starting anything new because the possibilities are endless, but the further along you go, the more ridget the thing becomes as you try to make something tangible.
