Wanted to keep the ball up in the air, working on some massive deadlines at the minute, and this is a think I’m enjoying at the minute.
Coloured lines.
And the reason is, it’s kind of like magic when you fill it in. I do a bunch of thinking and decision making while coloring the lines which then gets inferred in the painting stage.
This 5 second video kind of shows, how the coloured lines quickly transition into something that looks ‘finished’ when you fill in a flat color.
I don’t know if this makes sense to you, I know some of yous all will be wanting more, and others will be, what are you on about.
Take it for what it’s worth. I feel like I’ve discovered some thing special in my process so I’m having a lot of fun playing with it even as I push through this deadline.

Make a drawing with multicolored coloured lines, use lines to describe the color of the shape contains, and of the shadows and the highlights.
