I’m on a short holiday, kinda.
In spite of driving to another state, spending hours in a zoo, and exploring the town I still worked for 8 hours, LOL.
And inspite of the work, I still spent a few minutes capturing a moment with pen and paper. The words and the pictures combined act as a key to access the feeling I had when interacting with a crocodile with my kid.
Tomorrow I’ll have a real day off.
There are many reasons to spend 10 minutes with your journal or sketchbook, but one of the best ones is to capture feelings. Capture the positive feelings, imagine one day being able to flip through your book and feel all those positive feelings again all at once as a kind of gratitude practice.
As they say, thank me later.
