has a public meeting where we discuss a topic. This month the topic is ‘behind the scenes.’I got the timing mixed up and arrived late for the meeting.
But still got a ton of value from the time I was there.
was one of our guests today and she talked of her fascinating journey from author to illustrator, and going from self published to working with a publisher.Our own
also spoke about working self published and with a publisher and share some insights from her book, one of them being thinking of the environment as a character and I thought that was an utterly brilliant and beautiful idea.And speaking of behind the scenes
spilled the beans on a Children’s Book Writing retreat she and I will be hosting as part of , there is a small guest list and the retreat is full this time around.But if it goes well we plan to make it available to more people in 2026
