Stop reading. Anything I’m about to say could not measure up against the wisdom of these words from my teacher. These are the words distilled years of struggle and ingenuity. Years of not accepting no. Years of asking what if. Years of leadership and courage, persistence and tenacity followed by generosity.

These words guide my illustration practice. If you test them you will find them to be true. As a maxim, they disarm so many questions and doubts.

This phrase is a weapon in my arsenal, and I sense I don’t yet fully understand how powerful it is.
