I know of a few different 2 minute rules.
In GTD: “If an action will take less than two minutes, it should be done at the moment it's defined.”
In Atomic Habits: “When you start a new habit, it should take less than two minutes to do.”
Here is my rule, and I’ll give it an extra minute.
Today’s Invitation:
3-Minute Rule
If you can’t do it for ten minutes do it for 3. Because the point really is yo do it and to get into the habit of doing it, and chances are if you do 3 minutes and need more time you will likely just continue, and if you really need to stop 3 minutes is better than nothing.
I didn’t have time to do an inktober drawing… but I did have enough time to catch this insight. I came as i was sitting quietly for 5 minutes. I was just noticing how people often apologize for their ‘bad’ drawings, why do we do that? Some of my favourite artist do nothing but ‘bad’ drawings!
