Change is inevitable. Whether it's new work hours, family commitments, or a fresh productivity approach, we all face life shifts that impact our creative time. I want to share my journey adapting to a new routine, offering insights for those in similar situations.

I used to rise early, dedicating 4-8 AM to creative work. Now, evenings are my prime time. I'm embracing the Night Owl way, unlocking creative potential through uninterrupted hours of peak energy.

My transition plan includes:

  1. Regular bedtime (2-2:30 AM).

  2. No caffeine after 10 PM, No food after 8 PM.

  3. Log energy levels, adjust accordingly.

  4. Errands and small tasks during the day.

  5. Daily naps for recharging.

  6. Evening workouts to kickstart creativity.

  7. Nightly routine for smooth transition.

  8. Distraction-free workspace.

  9. Communicate schedule with family, friends, colleagues. (This!)

This new routine offers exciting opportunities:

  1. Intermittent fasting: Improved health, focus, and digestion.

  2. Sync with international clients: Better collaboration across time zones.

  3. A new mental state with less caffeine

I'm eager to share my Night Owl experiences, challenges, and successes with you.

More soon…

Unless you’re a Supersub in which case, more NOW! You might not be making as huge a change as I am, but here are 3 journaling prompts to help you unlock more high quality time for your creative practice.
