A (re)introduction
Hi so many of you are new, so I’m writing this to welcome you. And to say Hi.
I’m Adam Ming. I started writing this newsletter around the time I signed with an agent. I already had a book contract and people were asking me on social media about getting an agent and getting that first book contract.
This newsletter started out as me answering those questions, and taking notes of my fledgling journey as a picture-book illustrator. I write it to document my journey and wrestle with the questions that creatives wrestle with.

Hi Adam! Enjoy your newsletters very much! Always useful info even for those who have been working for a while! I havn't subscribed to paid version only as I subscribe to too many things already. With regards to what would be of interest in your future letters - Are you continuing with your marketing series? I was interested in your advice in that as I'm sure many illustrators would be, that's an area I fall behind in. Maybe that's only for paid subscribers or did you pause it? Thanks!
